Earlier this year, GalaxyRealms took an exciting step forward by acquiring a stunning and nostalgic lobby map that many players may recognize from Arnolds network CosmicMC. Here’s the story behind how we brought this iconic build into our network.
Tracking Down the Map
Back in February of 2024, I reached out to Arnold — also known as HeyArnoldG — the former owner of GalaxyRealms and CosmicMC. Since my main account was blocked, I had to contact him through an alternative account. Despite the initial barrier, we were able to begin a conversation about the original CosmicMC lobby map.
Working With the Original Builder
After some discussion, Arnold got in touch with the original builder who had created the map. Once everything was cleared and agreed upon, the builder approved the transaction. I officially acquired the map, marking a major milestone for GalaxyRealms.
A New Home for the Lobby
We’re proud to say that this beautiful and highly detailed lobby now serves as the main hub for GalaxyRealms. It brings a nostalgic vibe for veteran players while offering a fresh experience for new visitors. Repurposing this map allows us to pay homage to Minecraft history while building a strong foundation for our future.
